A gorgeous night at the Scripps Cottage at La Jolla Cove after a very warm (upper 80'sF) day. A perfect setting for the annual swim club's Christmas Party/Awards Banquet. Kudos to D who picked out the food and basically organized the whole thing. It was catered by Sorrentino's in Clairemont Mesa and extremely good. I think I'll volunteer to help pick out the wine next year though! LOL I got hood-winked in to wo-manning the door, selling tickets, raffle tickets, and signing up members. This was something I could do with my leg up and a great way to meet people but not great for conversations. I received an award for having the most body parts on the surgery table in one year! Woo hoo! Now that's an award! The food (bears repeating) was awesome! I also won 3 raffle prizes...noooo, it wasn't fixed. 10 day passes to the LJ Athletic Club (where the jacuzzi is), $25 at a local book store and $25 at Paradowski's Swim Sport Shop...a drop in the bucket really! Great evening, even though I worked the event. Someone told me they voted me on the board...yikes! Did I mention I wanted to be? The food was delicious! It's amazing how good we all looked with clothes on LOL.
