Today was post-op day...time to impress the Orthopedic Doc. And he was. We looked at the photos of the knee surgery where the meniscus tears were (and arthritis, but we don't talk about that)! He asked if I was in pain? (nope); if I was taking any pain meds? (nope); said I could start driving (already was...I drove to the appt); and that I could start swimming in a pool but not the ocean for another week (hmmmm - we'll have to think about that one). Swim today - 3:00pm @ La Jolla Cove. Ooooh, I've missed you Big Blue!
There ended up being eight of us! It was as flat as it gets...not even a ripple. H20 temp: 55F and clear viz to the bottom the whole way!...a lovely smokey bluish-green tourmaline color. We could hear the clicks and sonar of dolphin but couldn't see them. And then...the rain came. I'm so glad I was my willful self today! And tonight, once again, she sleeps peacefully.
