Welcome to my swim blog. It's all about my favorite past time and passion...swimming in the ocean, primarily in La Jolla, California, but also wherever the tides take me. I enjoy playing with and watching all marine critters: fish, birds, sea lions and even sharks. The ocean is my home. Welcome to my home!

Cell Phones Can't Swim!

I used to laugh at the stories my friends would tell me about how their cell phones took a dive or went for a swim...well not any more.  Yep, that's right...my old trust-worthy cell phone tried to swim today while I was getting a pedicure.  We tried the ol' hair dryer trick, alcohol (rubbing not libation, though I need one now!), the rice trick, and even plain ol time...but-ah no, she'sa no a gonna take a ma numbas no mor!  So, I'm taking a survey, researching via internet, and looking for deals (by tomorrow) for Verizon phones!  So far it's between Droid and Blackberry, but which one!

After that fun I decided, rain or not, late or not, I was going for a swim.  The Cove was not as clear, not as cold, not as pretty as yesterday, but the seaweed was bold. Attack of the killer seaweed btw #1 stick buoy and 'A' buoy, birds were using it as a take-off strip! Clearer viz by the stick buoys than 'B'...I didn't care as this was a de-stressor swim, purely therapeutic.

Now back to the cell...ugh!
