Two summers ago, I was treated to a wonderful party for a group of South African swimmers that had vacationed here. Beautifully catered with Mexican delights and in Joel's tropical backyard, we listened to African music and enjoyed eachothers company. The icing on the cake was Lynne Cox, author of Swimming to Antarctica, joined us in the fun! If only I had taken my newly finished copy for her to sign.
Ryan, one of the guests of honor, just put forth this short swim video of his Robben Island Swim. He and a friend swam to R I and were escorted by dolphins...a lot of dolphins! Those on board the boats caught some magnificent photos. This is an excellent example of why I prefer the ocean to swimming in pools!
