Welcome to my swim blog. It's all about my favorite past time and passion...swimming in the ocean, primarily in La Jolla, California, but also wherever the tides take me. I enjoy playing with and watching all marine critters: fish, birds, sea lions and even sharks. The ocean is my home. Welcome to my home!

A Swim To Be Thankful For

What an absolutely gorgeous day...not a cloud in the sky, the sea is nice with rolling swells and a tiny bit of texture.  Okay, so it's a wee bit colder than before...try 59.7F (I'll take every tenth I can get).  There were so many people at the Cove...out of towners mostly (no parking darn it!), but nothing was going to keep us away.  Met Steve, Laura and Talia down there and we decided to team up for a mile (mainly to stave away the calories we were to later consume)!  I was the only one w/o a wetsuit...starting to notice a pattern here.  I haven't needed one as yet and truth be known I'd like to see how long I can go w/o one.  There are so many that swim naked, that it's almost as bad as walking back from the shores (walk of shame) if you wear one.  We swam a mile today and it was refreshing.  Laura and I saw a pair of dolphin up close on the way back in...they are so amazing!  We were truly blessed.  A great day.
Mom and I went to the Marine Room for dinner tonight and watched the sun set from the shores...a fabulous ending to a fabulous day.

Thanksgiving to All.
